Speaker
Dr. Sajjad Ali is currently a Sub-Specialty Physician Consultant at the Neurophysiology Department at the National Neurosciences Institute (NNI) at King Fahad Medical City (KFMC), Riyadh, since 2015.
Dr. Ali completed his Neurology Residency Training and Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Aga Khan University, Pakistan in 2003. He further undertook post-graduate training in Clinical Neurophysiology and completed his “Certificate of Completion of Training” (CCT) from the West Midlands Denary, UK in 2009 and then worked as a Physician Consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB), until moving to Riyadh. He further completed fellowship in Intra-Operative Neuro-Monitoring (IONM).
Dr. Ali’s keen interests have been electrodiagnostic evaluation of neuromuscular disorders, single-fiber EMG, MEG and TMS studies. He initiated and established the SFEMG service at QEHB, after learning the technique from Prof Erik Stålberg in Uppsala, Sweden and contributed in his normative data study for SFEMG with concentric needle electrodes. Dr. Ali has been passionately involved in training and teaching post-graduate residents and fellows. Dr. Ali regularly conducts engaging courses and CME workshops in Clinical Neurophysiology in UK, K.S.A, U.A.E and Pakistan and has initiated an international online learning hub in Clinical Neurophysiology, The Neurophys Academy.
